We came on a Thursday evening, line wasn’t too bad but when I tell you this had been the best soft serve! I had a share of good ice creams but this one by far has been THE BEST, the flavor and price are unmatched. The entire experience from start to finish is amazing. The couple who owns the shop treated me and my family like their own family and reassured us when ordering. We seen the viral video of the upside down banana split and here’s my take. I mentioned that I have a sweet tooth and love ice cream. She mentioned she can put the hard shell chocolate instead of the regular chocolate syrup and it was a 100/10. I would go back and spend my very last. I didn’t get a picture of the other treats because I began eating them.

OMG Betty ice cream is the very Best ice cream in Chicago. I been coming here for many years. The elderly husband and wife are so kind and wonderful service. Best prices and great large portions and please ask them to dipp your cone in frozen chocolate is incredible. Sometimes is big line but is worth your wait and bring cash. There old school elderly couple with no credit card. Only cash

Be patient, line gets very long but it’s worth the wait . The owners are older and very nice so please be kind. Prices are cheap and reasonable. Definitely going bck

Been coming here since I was 5. The old couple is always smiling and a neighborhood gem . The ice cream is good too . Just good and old fashioned. Always nice to visit.

There were some recent reviews about waiting in line before close and not having a system to communicate who would be the last customer. Tonight we arrived at 09:30pm and the owner’s daughter gave us a little duck and said that would indicate we were the last customers. We were able to tell people who tried to get in line behind us that the line was closed. We waited nearly an hour and a half and they honored the duck and we got our ice cream! For waiting so long and being last in line, they even gave us $5 off. Great customer service and yummy ice cream.
